This was to choose who would represent Scotland and Northern Ireland in the UK wide Lees Trophy. 423Sqn having won the Hinshelwood Trophy for Highland Wing nine times since 1975 and again this year, were now under the spotlight. During the night, S/L Carr visited many activities in which the cadets participate, escorted by Flight Sergeant Keenan, Corporal Saddler and Corporal Cooper. These included the music group, made up of Cpl Ireland, Cpl Harris, Cadet Edgar, Cdt Boyle and Cdt Lillyman: the flight sim team which consisted of Cdt Halpin, Cdt Rossiter, and Cdt Loving who took the Squadron Leader on an exciting virtual flight around Kinloss. In Fieldcraft, Cpl Ridehalge, Cpl Campbell, Cpl Cooper and F/S Keenan set up a demonstration to show S/L Carr the skills they have learnt. Then he visited the modelling group., Cdt Huby and Cdt McKenzie showed him the models that F/S Hodgson and Numerous other cadets have produced over the last six months.
